The End of the Summer Sun
|
We will meet in the Café Courtyard of Ashton Court mansion house.
Ashton Court has got to be one of Bristol's most glorious spots. In summer it truly comes into its own. The grounds look more luscious than ever and the sounds of birdsong and laughter ripple around. In this experience, you'll be absorbing these sublime surroundings and channelling your creativity. You will use the landscape, plants and trees of Ashton Court as a starting point for a series of short writing exercises. There will be roughly half an hour of walking through the grounds to get your inspiration flowing. What you can expect:
Please bring clothing appropriate for the weather on the day, such as sun hats and glasses if it's sunny and jumpers and jackets if it's likely to get cool. Bring a pen, notebook or paper and something to lean on. You may also like to bring a rug, waterproof, or cushion to sit on if you will be happy to sit on the grass. |
Workshop @ Bristol Museum and Art Gallery

Our environment's colour, space and lighting has a huge influence on our creativity. So how about Bristol Museum & Art Gallery as a spot to get our creative juices flowing! We will use the painting gallery and one of the Grayson Perry exhibition rooms at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery as a starting point for a series of short original exercises. What to expect:
